Who is Scott Pargett?
Hi, I'm Scott, it's nice to meet you. Now that we have introductions out of the way, lets dig a little deeper. My photography is really just one side of an artistic cube that I feel is inside of me. I can't help but submerge myself in any median of visual design or music. I have been fortunate enough to be able practice my arts for a living, A luxury I am deeply thankful for. As a child my constant drawing and interest in music were exercises for what would evolve and blossom into the core of everything I think, feel, and do. Anything that stimulated the heart or mind. Through art and music I have had the ability to travel, enrich, and express myself as I continue to search for ways to push the creative boundaries while inspiring others.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I shoot with Canon cameras and lenses. I do any post editing and processing on Apple Computers, using Adobe Photoshop and Apple Aperture. I firmly belive we aren't defined by the brands we use, it's a scary modern concept. Equipment is only a tool, not an identity. Who you are, lies within the art you convey.

Where did you get your start in photography?
I've always been interested in photography. I can remember being absorbed in National Geographic magazines as a child. The images' ability to transport you to magical and distant places was an endlessly provocative art. But mostly it was witnessing friends of mine experimenting with photography as a teen that really motivated me to start. Traveling as a musician presented the perfect opportunity to attempt to capture the beauty and spontaneity that endlessly presented itself to me. I used a $10 35mm camera I purchased from a drug store. Since such a simple camera was used, it forced me to naturally focus on balancing composition and color since the technology was simply "point & shoot". You'd be surprised by the creativity this method forces you pull from within.
Are you availible for hire?
Yes, just contact me let me know what you have in mind. The sooner the better to make sure I'm free.
Any tips on someone interested in photography?
Just go out as soon as possible and take as many photos as you can. Carry a camera with you at all times, you never know when something will strike you. That's the spontanious and random nature of photography. You aren't going to get good by not doing it. Just with any craft, the more to practice the better you will become,
